Pool Parties

Butler Aquatic Center

The base fee for the main pool is $200.00.

The base fee for the lazy river is $50.00.

Requires a minimum of 2 guards.

The fee for the lifeguards is $15.00 per guard per hour.

Must have 3 guards minimum for up to 30 people and 4 guards for 31 to 40 people, and 5 guards for 41 to 50 people, and so on.

The lazy river may be rented only as an add on to the main pool and will require a minimum of two guards. Concession stand is available for a fee of $30.00.

The concession stand is available for a $30.00 fee. All concession items sell at regular prices.

LIFE JACKETS ARE NOT ALLOWED AT THE POOL.

Five is the maximum number you may have on a family season pass. College age children may be added to a family pass if you can show that they are attending college, otherwise 19 years of age or older will not be eligible to participate in the add on policy. Any season pass violations will result in the pass being removed without refund. There is a $10.00 fee to replace a pass.

Water Babies

Infant and preschool Aquatic program for children 6 months to 38 months old. A guardian must accompany the child in the water. If there is enough interested in Water Babies it will be in Session 3 from 10:45 - 11:15.

Tiny Tots

Infant and Preschool Aquatic program for children 3 to 5 years. An adult must accompany the child in the water the first three lessons.

Level 1

Introduction to Water Skills: Purpose: Helps students feel comfortable in the water. Learn to swim Level 1 participants receive a Raffy Learns to Swim full color booklet that reinforces learning and provides parents with additional information about their child's progress. Level 1 participants learn to: enter and exit water safely, open eyes underwater, pick up submerged object, swim on front and back using arm and leg actions, submerge mouth, nose, and eyes, float on front and back, follow basic water safety rules, exhale underwater through mouth and nose, explore arm and hand movements and use life jacket.

Level 2

Fundamental Aquatic Skills: Purpose: Gives students success with fundamental skills. Learn-to-swim Level 2 participants receive a Raffy Learns to Swim full-color booklet that reinforces learning and provides parents with additional information about their child's progress. Level 2 jumping from the side, open eyes underwater, pick up a submerged object, roll over from front to back, tread water using ladder or side, float on front and back, tread water using are and leg motions, submerge entire head, perform front to back glide, swim on front and back using combined strokes.

Level 3

Stroke Development: Purpose: Builds on the skills in Level 2 through additional guided practice. Learn-to-swim Level 3 participants receive a Waddles in the Deep full color booklet that reinforces class instruction to help swimmers develop confidence in their strokes and improve other aquatic skills. Level 3 participants learn to: Jump into deep water from the side, bob with head fully submerged, perform survival float, butterfly kick and body motion, use rotary breathing in horizontal position, change from horizontal to vertical position on front and back. perform the HELP and Huddle position, submerge and retrieve an object, perform front and back glide, perform front and back crawl, and perform a reaching assist.

Level 4

Stroke Improvement: Purpose: Develops confidence in the skills learned and improves other aquatic skills: Learn-to-swim Level 4 participants receive a Waddles in the Deep full color booklet that reinforces class instruction to help swimmers develop confidence in their strokes and improve other aquatic skills. Level 4 participant learn to: Perform shallow dive or dive from stride position, perform opens turns on front and back using any stroke, swim underwater, tread water using sculling arm motions and kick. Perform the following: front and back crawl, swim on the side using scissors-like kick, breaststroke, elementary backstroke, sidestroke.

Level 5

Stroke Refinement: Purpose: Provides further coordination and refinement of strokes, Level 5 participants learn to: Tread water with two different kicks, learn survival swimming, perform rescue breathing. Perform the following: standing dive, pike surface dive, butterfly, shallow dive glide two body lengths and begin any front stroke, tuck surface dive, front flip turn, backstroke flip turn, front and back crawl, breaststroke, elementary backstroke, sidestroke.

Level 6

Swimming and Skill Proficiency: Purpose: Refines the strokes so students swim with ease, efficiency, power and smoothness over greater distances. Level 6 is designed with "menu" options, that focus on preparing students to participate in more advanced courses, including the Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard Training courses. These options include: Personal Water Safety, Lifeguard Readiness, Fundamentals of Diving, and Fitness Swimming.
