Human Resources Responsibilities:
Human Resources Office is responsible for:
- The primary function is payroll and human resources;
- Serves as primary contact for workers’ compensation claims & issues.
- Maintains personnel records and personnel policy;
- Collects, calculates, and inputs pay sheets;
- Issues payroll direct deposit and check payments to employees;
- Keeps records of all sick leave, vacation, etc.;
- Records and files all State and Federal employment taxes;
- Schedules and maintains records for random drug and alcohol testing;
- Schedules meetings with personnel for elective deduction representatives.
- Enters, maintains, and reconciles City benefits records and payments;
- Records and files all State and Federal employment taxes;
- Assists the City Clerk as needed;
- Assists the City Administrator as needed.
